ABID’s President Kamlesh Agarwal Speaks

p1070194Like every year ABID is all set to organize its annual exhibition which would showcase the whole gamut of services and products associated with the architecture and interior designing industry. For years this exhibition has been reputed to be the finest platform where the best brands of industry are showcased.

In 2016, the exhibition has been planned at a larger scale and it has set an unprecedented record of being sold out about a month before it  was scheduled to begin. As an organization too ABID has been steadily growing – the organization has added 100 new members and the current membership strength is 340 now. With active new members being added and with the enthusiastic support of old members – the association organizing Interior 2016 received an extra impetus and thus managed to organize an event that is much bigger than before.

The ABID exhibition remains the best place to connect and get in touch with the best of the architects, allied associations, interior designers and product suppliers and we invite all to be a part of this prestigious event – Interior 2016.

The aim of the exhibition this year is to promote the latest techniques and trends in home décor and design which would help the visitors to understand what trends are in vogue. Like previous years this year too, we expect international participation. We are sure the exhibition would be a platform where discerning visitors will get the chance to choose from the best which the industry has to offer and this would pave way for future associations.

While exhibition remains out prime focus this year ABID has been instrumental in organizing a very successful seminar on Green Design In Interior Architecture. The hugely successful event saw participation by green activists and architects who had converged there from India and abroad to discuss the nuances on green design.

Several other activities too are in pipeline or being executed. As a CSR initiative ABID is renovating and redesigning a juvenile home in Tarkeshwar named Kalabharati. The aim is to improve upon the facilities and their working condition to ease the life of the inmates. In May the organization is all set to organize a skill development program for polishers and carpenters so as to train them in modern tool usage.

Apart from this various social events and occasions under the aegis of the organization too take place regularly – the recent events included the Diwali Meet and Annual Picnic meet that saw wholehearted participation of the members and their families.

The organization is vibrant, dynamic and forward moving and as the president of ABID my aim is to sustain and accelerate its tremendous growth potential. Together as a team we are committed to make a difference to the world of interior and architecture.
